ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Open Sea has been 52 years in the making if you add up the time both Andy and Marta have been writing and performing. Andy is responsible for most of those years and fortunately Marta is a quick learner cramming an awful lot in the 4 years since she took up music seriously.

The album is comprised of the compositions that people have most enjoyed hearing from this duo over the past two years plus some newer material that needed a recording studio to fully bring to life.

It is a dark, folk-tinged collection of original songs featuring unique vocal harmonies above the haunting sound of their exceptional vintage instruments.

Whilst their live performances are mostly as a duo, on Open Sea they are joined by some of Australia's finest musicians to present the material in its best light without detracting from their essential and characteristic sound of two voices and two acoustic guitars.
