Album Notes
Exeter indie songwriter Andy B has a brand new 12 track CD album ‘Letters Home’ out now on Pastime Records. Once again he has teamed up with acclaimed producer Andy Fonda, drummer of the Phil Wilson Band, to record his second official studio recorded solo CD album to be released this year.

The songs are all written by Andy B who performs lead, rhythm and acoustic guitars; bass, piano, keyboards, lead and backing vocals, on the new record, with Andy Ward on drums.

To give the new CD some added musical dimensions, Andy has enlisted the able assistance of classically trained singer and violinist Lizi Bennett on violin and backing vocals; Ben Tallamy on flute and backing vocals; Ant Smith on guitar; Kal George on guitar, and Andy Fonda on additional guitar, keyboards and backing vocals.

The guest musicians have made a stunning contribution to the new CD, to produce a richer, more layered and varied album, though one which takes up many of the themes where the critically acclaimed ‘Buttons and Badges’, released earlier this year, left off.

‘Letters Home’ was recorded at Off The Rails Studio, Tipton St John, Devon, during 2011 by top Devon producer Andy Fonda, whose credits include producing ex June Bride singer and guitarist Phil Wilson, and nationally reviewed indie bands A Fine Day For Sailing and National Pastime.

Andy B also performs with National Pastime and Falling Trees.
