PRESS

"A true jack-of-all-trades, Mowatt's latest album is a tasteful collection of ambient jazz, New Orleans funk and expected takes on modern hits. And yet, through many influences, each tune retains a sound that is distinctly Mowatt's." - Kim O'Brien, Fly Magazine, December 2014

"Andy Mowatt is a jazz-rock flamethrower on guitar." -Sam Campbell, Gigspots.com , May 29, 2013

"Would somebody please find Andy Mowatt a major network late night talk show so he and his band can kill it in front of millions of people every night?" -Jason Mundok, WoodStoveHouse.com , Oct. 21, 2014

"Andy Mowatt will inspire you to expand your mind and think outside the confines of traditional jazz, soul and funk!" - Corey Robert, PositiveMusicReviews.com , December 9, 2014

"Truly one of the good guys and an absolute musical genius." - Joe Devoy, Tellus 360, December 2014.

"Confident, to-the-point, and elegant..." - Gus Rocha, The Flinging Times, September, 2013.

"It is a complete and absolute joy to be on stage with Andy.... his spirit and love for music is encouraging and contagious, both through his words and his playing. I cherish each and every time I get to perform with him.”
- Mark DeRose, MarkDeroseMusic.com

"Andy Mowatt is one of the finest, most talented musicians I have ever worked with in my last twenty-five years of college music teaching. His ability to play guitar, knowledge of music theory, versatility, and strong work ethic combine to make him one serious musician capable of making a positive contribution to the world of music."
-Tom Strohman, Associate Professor of Music, Lebanon Valley College
-
"Andy has a tremendous sense of melody and harmony that really shines through in his compositions as well as his guitar playing."
- Anthony Lattanze, Lattanze Guitars

"Andy is the consummate guitarist - after hiring him to play for my Debut CD Release party we met to rehearse and he already knew every guitar part inside and out. To find a guitarist with that dedication is rare, and add to that his pro-caliber playing...I would gladly play with Andy on any gig."
- Eric Astor, EricAstor.com

“...enjoy the diverse musical offerings of guitarist Andy Mowatt! Dabbling in jazz, rock, funk, classical and many other genres, Andy's got something up his sleeve for everyone to enjoy!”
