Album Notes
Love at 85: A Story – Andy’s widowed, octogenarian aunt, Marguerite Van Camp, M.D., has met a fellow named Ike. Ike, an organic farmer and beekeeper, has won Marguerite’s heart. What will her daughter, Francine, say? What will Marguerite’s long departed husband say? (Yes, he does check in from Beyond every once in a while.)

This spoken word performance, recorded live at the National Storytelling Festival, anchors Andy's twelfth album.

The second cut, “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme,” (also known as “Sleepers Wake”) is a Johann Sebastian Bach
piece that Andy has wanted to whistle on a record for a long time. To give it some real-live classical gravitas, he asked his pal, the eminent harpist, Kelly Stewart Brzozowski, to arrange and play along with him. Now, THAT was a good decision!
