ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“What is A.O.D.? Well, the obvious answer is a band, but what kind of band? That is a harder question to answer. The combination of influences creates something completely new, which does not fit into a neat little package. We are more than the sum of what we are made of. We are not only what we are influenced by, but what we create. We are here because we need to make music and have something to say about a great many things.

A.O.D. is more than a band from Pueblo, Co. It's an idea. You do not need to be what everyone else wants you to be. There are more things wrong with society than there are in you. Do not let anyone tell you who you are. Things must change in order to grow and only evolution can change it. We are the music makers, we are the artists, we are the dreamers, and we are the visionaries. A.O.D. makes music for the music and through our music we will say what everyone else doesn't want to hear. We play music, first for us and then for you, the fans.

Progress through Violence... Only after blood has been drawn will they change.

Love us, Hate us... We are here and cannot be silenced.”

-excerpt from the official website

A.O.D. is a growing phenomenon in southern Colorado. Filling more seats and gaining popularity with every performance. A.O.D. has ravaged every major town in Colorado from La Junta to Denver. They have shared the stage with a number of national acts including Goth/Industrial band Razed in Black, I.R.A.T.E., PURITY, and Hemlock. Angels of Deception are not only known for their music but also for their live performance. A reviewer for Emergenza.net wrote, “Angels of Deception gave a very well thought out performance featuring stage antics and stage presence, definitely a band not to miss.”

Angels of Deception is on the verge of releasing their second full length album entitled “Pestilence.” It was written, recorded, produced, and mixed by Angels of Deception. “Pestilence,” will be released this summer but you can hear its first single “A Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing” on Project Independent Compilation Vol. 3 available for purchase at www.projectindependent.net. Angels of Deception’s prior release, “Social Suicide,” is distributed by Sonic Wave Intl. and is available online at all major online retailers. Tracks from “Social Suicide” can also be purchased on iTunes and Verizon V-Cast. Not to mention the 1,000 units, of the self produced, “Blistered by Heaven’s Light” (original title for “Social Suicide” before major distribution with Sonic Wave Intl.) that are in the hands of A.O.D. fans.
Angels of Deception can be have been described as Industrial Metal. A.O.D. utilizes two male vocalists (with the occasional guest female vocalist), three guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, sampler, and a drum machine. Comprised of six members A.O.D. is one of the few heavy metal bands to have a female drummer, who can play circles around other metal drummers. Angels of Deception have been honing their skills for four years, preparing to become the first major band to come out of Pueblo, Colorado.
