ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
(Note: hard copy CDs also available by emailing info@annasalleh.com)

This CD was recorded in one day - old school style - with just one or two takes of each tune. It was during my monthly residency at Foundry616 jazz club in Sydney and the band and I had just got back from some great shows on the mid-North coast of New South Wales. The idea was to do a sort of 'audio snapshot' to capture the energy of the band at the time. So here it is - enjoy!

Bassically Speaking is dedicated to the late great Kerrie Biddell who suggested I sing this song. Thanks again to Luiz Carlos in Rio for inspiring me with some of this repertoire, to the 'The Gorgeous Band' for being such monsters on stage, and to Gary as always for his love and support.

Recorded at Def Wolf studios by Ryan Brennan
Mixed at Studios 301 by Anton Hagop
Mastered at the Chapel of Sound by Paul Bryant
