ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The band featured on “Sky Tonight” includes Mark Mirando on piano, Bob Csugie on upright bass, Cadence Carroll on percussion and harmonies, and producer Richard Neal on mandolin, guitars, and dobro. Guest artists include Jim Allyn on accordion, Larry Deming on strings, and Glen Roethel and Sloan Wainwright on harmonies. “Sky Tonight” was recorded at Neal’s 34 West Recorders in Sandy Hook, CT, and mastered by Vic Steffens at Horizon Music group, West Haven, CT.

The songs on "Sky Tonight" touch on such familiar themes as love, life, and loss, but they deliver the listener to the not-so-usual places of recognition, empathy, solace and hope. Anne Marie pairs her poignant lyrics with catchy melodies to create moving song memoirs. Equally melodic and lyrically driven, the songs might be described as autobiography meets storytelling; the personal meets the universal; love meets loneliness; childhood haunts adulthood; scenes in which love lingers, and family and friends embrace each other.
