"A one woman powerhouse."

"My favorite new artist...An amazing guitarist."
Lucinda Williams

This CD was recorded live when Anne McCue opened for Lucinda Williams in the U.S. and Canada. She plays solo, wielding both electric and acoustic guitars, playing songs old and new.

The album includes six songs not heard on her previous album, Amazing Ordinary Things, and includes her solo version of Hendrix's Voodoo Chile (Slight Return).

A dynamic, exciting and intimate album which makes you feel like you were there or takes you back if you were there. Includes two live studio tracks.

Great album. I'd love to see her play.
I got this CD after being blown away by her current CD "Roll". It's easy to understand why Lucinda Williams asked her to go on tour with her, which is where this CD came from. After hearing the title track I defy any lover of slide guitar to not be wanting more. This is an artist I would truely love to see.

One of the best live sets ever
It was evrything I expected from a live set of Anne\'s. Bold, powerfull, compeling. Just a great set from a great writer and musician.

World Class Guitarist
When I put this disc in and told some friends it was just Anne and her guitar(s) they expected a mellow acoustic disc. Once it started playing they were as blown away as I was the first time I heard it. The songs are well-crafted, Anne has a beautiful voice, and as a guitarist she is in the same league as Ron Wood or Neil Young.

Great CD filled with melodic tunes and rocking songs!
I bought this CD after hearing some sample tracks. It was better than I ever expected!. Anne's solo rendition of Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Child is absolutely fabulous. She reminds me of Bonnie Rait and Lucinda Williams. This CD has its share of rockers and acoustic gems. Ballad of an Outlaw Woman is a great track to start this rocking disk. If you like Lucinda or Bonnie pick up a copy of Anne Mccue Live and see what all the rave reviews are about!.

Fantastic As Always
Saw Anne here in Chicago last year and had a chance to meet and talk with her. She is an amazing musician as is her songwriting. I am so glad this album was re-released; I've been trying to get it for over a year and half. She's totally underrated and needs more fans like us to spread the word. Both "Roll" and "Koala Motel" are must-buys, as is this release. Buy them all, you won't be disappointed!

My only regret is that I did'nt buy all of her CDs!!

She's just as good in concert too!!

The Essence of Live Music !
Anne sings and plays with passion and purity. In addition to soulful vocals she is a top-notch guitarist who plays with grace. Her style is rock with shades of blues, jazz and folk. Her vocals are soft and buoyant and her guitar style is edgy as established in the cover version of the Hendrix classic Voodoo Chile (Slight Return). The title opening song is filled with funky fascinating fretwork and sultry airy vocals. Her story of an outlaw woman unfolds in a style seeping in the blues. My Only One opens with jazzy guitar cords, crisp expressive vocals and plenty of soul. Live: Ballad Of An Outlaw Woman truly captures the essence of live music complete with the sound of a guitar falling over. It also demonstrates the style, skill and poise of this talented well-respected female musician.

Album is great
Anne I saw you live with Lucinda in Santa Fe,NM I thought you were great. You're music is wonderful. I love this album. Don't stop making music.

Tragically underheard
I almost feel sorry for people who paid upwards of a hundred bucks for an original copy of this recording. I say almost because this CD was impossible to find and I probably would have paid that myself if I could have found one. It's that good. Anne McCue is the real deal. Great songwriter. Great interpreter of others material. One INCREDIBLE guitar player with a beautiful voice. This reissue saved me a lot of money. Buy all of her CDs , every one is worth the investment.

... no-bullshit live set...
Recorded during a U.S. tour with fan/patron Lucinda Williams, the nine-song disc is McCue and three guitars, dishing Delta blues and roots pop. It’s in this context she shines, playing with guts, singing with heart and doing “Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)” all purdy and nasty. This is her forte and fortune.
