Anne Price was born and raised in New York City and has been performing since 1965 in coffee houses, schools, libraries, political gatherings, and festivals. Her repertoire includes everything from traditional folk ballads to country songs, songs of the sea, cowboy songs, songs about work and the labor movement, and love songs. She sings many songs from folk based songwriters, such as Jean Ritchie, Peggy Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Si Kahn, and many others, and she writes a few fine songs of her own. Her voice is strong, rich, and expressive.

“This is the very best kind of music produced in America today - organic, honest, personal, and unaffected.”
- Bill Feagin, Crow and Wolf Music

"The richness of your voice astounded me."- Peggy Seeger, about Hearth & Fire

"[Anne Price] has a voice made for folk. It is expressive, rich, and honest."
- Rambles: a Cultural Arts Magazine

"Anne Price sings just like early Joan Baez (with a touch of Carolyn Hester)."
- Dirty Linen Magazine

"Anne Price is well known to NYPFMC members for her lovely voice and sensitive accompaniments
to songs both traditional and self-penned. She also has a wicked sense of humor."
- New York Pinewoods Folk Music Club Newsletter

"Surely among the most beautiful folk voices being heard today . . .
She is a terrific songwriter as well as a wonderful singer."
- Joanne Davis, reviewing Hearth & Fire

"Anne Price has a glorious expressive voice."
- Sol "Roundman" Weber, author of Rounds Galore and More
