Album Notes
This fun for all ages collection of original stories and songs shows the valor of the tiniest to the mightiest feathered friend who flies from the Pacific Northwest to Mexico and beyond. Master storyteller Anne Rutherford teamed with Jan DeWeese (mandolin, penny whistle, vocals,) Roberta Jortner (vocals, guitar,) Roberto C. Gonzalez (vocals, guitar) and Tobin Gollihar (vocals) to make this fun for all ages collection.
"We've got everything from an old-time radio show to a cross-cultural hummingbird love story, plus some great tales of real-life Portland avian adventures," Anne says. "And I brought a gnarled park ranger to tears when I sand 'Moonwatching with Grandma,' about a woman who shares her passion for birds with the next generation."
