Album Notes
A singer with a passion for her faith, Annie Karto uses her songwriting skills to tell stories, and to honor people who have touched her life. As a inspirational speaker, Annie weaves her music in and out of her testimonies.
Annie loves using the most beautiful instrumentation in her songs, and relies on her producer, Barry Hartglass from Carmel, N.Y. to arrange and use the best musicians possible. Annie's sound is contemplative, but uses a powerful ballad, a cry, in "Rise Up All People" to invite listeners to Rise Up to defend God given freedoms. This song uses amazing talented back up singers from N.Y. City.
Annie Karto hopes to draw her listeners into prayer, and contemplation in songs, like "Fix Your Gaze" and "Servant Song."
Raised in the 60's, Annie also likes to include cover tunes in her cd, such as Eric Clapton's "Holy Mother" and Joni Mitchell's, "Both Sides Now."
