Album Notes
Annie Locke is an award-winning composer and performer, classically-trained, and with a degree from the Royal Academy of Music, London. "Annie's music has become popular with people of all ages and from all walks of life. The reasons for this are simple enough; her music touches the hearts of folk because she plays from the heart and wishes to help bring some sunshine and quiet into all our lives." (Francis O'Neill)

Her latest album of original pieces for solo piano, "A Glimmer of Hope" was well received and was nominated for Best New Artist by Enlightened Piano Radio. She played some of her music in an Awards concert at the world-famous Berlin Philharmonic Hall last October, to much acclaim. The album currently has the record for the longest time period of sixteen months in the One World Radio Top 100 chart.

Her solo piano music is a cross between classical and new age. Her first solo piano single of her own music, "A Handful of Memories", released in time for Valentine's Day this year, is proving highly popular and was no.1 in the Top 40 Singles Chart on One World Music Radio in March. The follow up to that, "A Tale of Love and Mystery", a single in a contemporary classical style, reached no. 2 in the same chart in September as did her single, "An Ocean of Dreams", in October.

Her earlier three albums of relaxation music sold over 100000 copies when first released and of these, "The Living Earth" sold over 50000 and was in the Top 10 of Billboard magazine at that time.

A real pleasure to listen to
Annie Locke is back with a new Christmas single to end what has been an excellent year for her. Silent Night is her chosen piece and her arrangement of it is stylish and a totally fresh take on the original offering.
We are gifted a really nice and light composition here, a bright empowering key and an in-depth, but transcendent melody. There is something about Locke’s version that is very listenable, it’s one of those offerings that you could leave on repeat for hours and not even notice, or even think about it, just enjoying all it has to offer.
Her performance is so well crafted it is a pleasure to listen to it over many times to truly enjoy all the motifs and nuances contained within, and thus a holiday single I think the fans and listeners are going to absolutely love.
