ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
With eight cover songs spanning 4 decades, Anti-M continue with their heavily electronic sound with the occasional use of hard rock and metal guitars.

This is the first Anti-M album to feature all female vocals with four of the songs sung by guest artists. Dru Allen (This Ascension, Mirabilis, Mercury's Antennae) takes the lead on the covers of Garbage (Milk) and Depeche Mode (In Your Room) as well as sharing the vocal duties with her singing partner from Mirabilis, Summer Bowman, on the cover of Nighttime Birds originally by The Gathering. Alexa (known as AlexaTheVoice on facebook) sings the leads on the symphonic metal cover of See Me In Shadow (Delain). While Alexa sings the parts originally sung by Charlotte Wessels on the album Lucidity, Barbara (from the Anti-M album Damage) sings the parts originally sung by Liv Kristine.

The album opens with a cover of the New Zealand band Fur Patrol. Fade Away is a rock song and features Jon Moseley on guitars.

Next up is a cover or the 80's pop tune The Metro (Originally by Berlin). This version is more of a rock version than the original and again features Jon on guitars.

Track 3, Starless, is a cover of the progressive rock band King Crimson from their seventies classic, Red. Originally sung by the late John Wetton this tribute is beautifully sung by Barbara.

Returning to pop on track 4, with a mix of keyboards and metal guitars (provided by Todd Simpson), is the cover of 'Til Tuesday with Voices Carry (Planet P Remix).

After See Me In Shadow (track 5) the album becomes a bit darker with the moody versions of Milk and In Your Room, both sung by Dru Allen.

Closing the album is Nighttime Birds originally performed by The Gathering. Todd Simpson again takes over the guitar duties to support the beautiful vocals of Mirabilis.

Wedge, co founder of Anti-M, said that "this covers album was far more difficult than I ever expected it to be. We started over 30 songs and felt we had to consider it done when we finished 8 or we might not release an album for another 10 years. Those unfinished songs might very well turn up on future Anti-M releases".
