ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

Billy Bean, also known as Antioch, is a rising artist whose goal is to boldly proclaim the truth of God’s Love through hip-hop and spoken word poetry. His daring words and invigorating music call listeners to champion humility, integrity, and servant-hood. The lyrics remind us that the ground is level at the foot of the Cross, that no matter what a person has done, is doing, or will do, Jesus Christ conquers all sin and LOVES all people unconditionally.

Originally from Northern Arizona, Billy renewed his love for poetry and Hip-Hop in college and after engaging in urban ministry in South LA. His artist name, "Antioch," originates from the city of Antioch which was considered the chief center of early Christianity as missionaries brought the gospel through its gates. Antioch was also considered a major city of the Roman Empire and, as such, many of the early Christians experienced intense persecution and martyrdom. Antioch's (Billy) lyrics challenge listeners to embrace the same passion that early followers of Christ lived out.

He plans to release quality mixtapes, albums, and songs for all with the purpose of glorifying Christ alone. His debut release, Imago Dei, drops October 4, 2011 on various distribution outlets.
