ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Antlive has been rocking Hip Hop since the 1980s. Antlive was discovered by Chuck D of Public Enemy at age 17. After a brief trip to New York in 1991, a record deal followed with Ced Gee of the Ultramagnetic Mc's former label Next Plateau/London Polygram records. MF911 is one of Detroit’s 1st hip-hop acts to be signed to a major recording deal in 1992.

In 1993, MF911 album “Idol The Bloodsport” was released. Opportunity proved to be long lasting for Antlive an MC, producer, and engineer. After creating rap radio promos for local radio Dj Tre Black Antlive became a radio personality & producer at Detroit’s FM98 WJLB in 1994 working alongside Bushman. Antlive used radio to Boost his name & become the local hardcore boombap producer.

Known for authentic hardcore production, chopped samples, sounding nothing like the original version, the BoomBapKing was created. During the turn of the century, Antlive resourced his production abilities to RZA, Allah Mathematics, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Proof, Hush, Rj Rice, Chuck D, Jam Master Jay, J Dilla, Scarface, MF911 and more.

Since 2012, Antlive has joined forces with various underground artist and producers to create conceptualized boombap albums as the Rocknrollas, Skeletor, Kenny Powers, and the Boombapking. I got Beats, Cocaine Niggas, No Country for old men, Underground Chronicles, idol the bloodsport, return to the bloodsport are just a few albums to Antlive credit. Slamjamz the home of Chuck D, Easy Mo Bee & Public Enemy is where Antlive records currently!
