Album Notes
Originally from the Netherlands, Anton Roolaart grew up listening to all kinds of music from classical to rock, progressive rock, ambient, world, and pop. At the age of thirteen Anton studied Classical guitar with Gus Tool. Later, Anton studied the guitar on his own eventually taking some music courses in college. He also completed a recording techniques program in college, where he began to work in the studio. Over the years he has embraced symphonic rock for many of his own compositions. His music takes it's own format. The music he writes introduces the listener to musical landscapes painted by his insightful tunes and melodies which are put together keenly onto his musical canvas. His music appeals to older fans of the genre, yet also brings fresh new sounds and ideas that appeal to newer listeners of the genre. Anton is an accomplished composer and songwriter. He embraces the guitar as his main instrument but enjoys keyboards, as well as producing and arranging.

Some reviewers comments of his album - Dreamer...

".....Dreamer succeeds on so many levels, primarily by not only acknowledging the progressive greats of the past, yet by also remaining firmly entrenched in the sounds of today and more importantly with an eye towards the future as well. If you are a fan of progressive music in any shape or form, then I highly recommend you check out this very impressive debut."

Ryan Sparks - Sea of Tranquility, Nov 11, 2007

"Refreshing and curious, Anton Roolaart’s new record on the Umbrello label and entitled Dreamer is an adventure in Audiophonic odyssey. Like following Alice down the rabbit hole, Dreamer is a magical mystery that only reveals itself as the listener follows its true path."... This is definitely one of the year’s best albums...

Jon Pfeiffer - The Aquarian/East Coast Rocker July 4, 2007
