Aodán Coyne, the guitarist and vocalist for the band Socks in the Frying Pan, who've just returned from a very successful tour of the U.S. has now launched his debut solo album 'If we only knew' at this years Ennis Trad Festival. Having been brought up in the musically rich Coyne family where his grandfather Eamon played fiddle with the famous Liverpool Ceili Band and his father Mick being a renowned uilleann piper, Aodán's music now complements that tradition.
The album features guest artists including Sean McCarthy on low whistle & uilleann pipes, Niall Preston on badhran and John Bridge on bass.
"The album is beautifully and precisely prepared.. We could not recommend this CD more highly to you" - Bill Margeson, Live Ireland

Words from the artist:
"The songs on the album present themes which I connected with on some level. I felt that each was written with conviction and honesty by the composers. I've been thinking about what events occurred to inspire and motivate the writer to put pen to paper and their thoughts and feelings to music. There is a whole life behind the words.
If we only knew."
