Album Notes
For music to be relevant, it doesn’t need to be complex. It doesn’t need to be “positioned.” What it needs is to relate to the listener; to communicate an emotion, tell a story and find common ground with that person at that time. Arena does just that. Arena tells human stories based on real emotion and real situations that everyone deals with. They back that music with straight-forward, guitar based rock the flows with energy and excitement. Filled with hooks and melodies that are diverse yet easy to relate to, their music appeals to anyone who loves rock and roll.

Lead by Lead Vocalist, Linda Bullock, this four-piece group from Minneapolis, MN has been tearing up the clubs, theaters and arenas across the mid-west (USA) for years. Linda, founding member Tedd Bullock on bass and Drummer Billy Wesp were joined in May 2013 by Lead Guitarist Tim Kletti. At that point, the band was complete and spent the following 2 years playing 100s of shows, honing their live set and gaining 1000s of new fans. Little did they know that this path would lead to the writing of songs that would become their debut album.

Recorded over the winter of 2015/16 and released in June of 2016, their Self-Titled debut album ARENA tells "life" stories through music that is identifiable, energetic and appealing. Arena grew up on FM radio and guitar-based rock music. The listener will find this evident from the first notes of the first track "Should I?" Reviews of the album's first single "Take Me Down," tell listeners that the song is very original, yet very easy to identify with. The second single “I Tried” blends guitar based rock riffs with current heavier rock arrangements and brilliant three part harmonies. It tells the story of the pain involved in a one-sided relationship and the empowered answer to move on with one’s life.

Arena intends to reach the masses this way: Tell a story that people can relate to and support it with riff-based rock that stands the test of time. Simply put, Arena is a Classic American Rock Band that needs to be heard. Check out Arena on the road in support of their debut album “Arena.”
