Album Notes
I wrote this song on my friend's wedding day as he was driving us from his bachelor's home to the estate where the ceremony was going to take place. The guests were already waiting... Certainly one of the first of its kind, this wedding was even more special I think because my friend had always longed to find the love of his life and create with him a family and a future. He strongly believed in traditional values, like loving one, and only one special man 'till death do us part' and would not settle for less.... Recorded by Christian Bankole at DayKlectic. Produced by Renzo Frontoni of MusicariE. Vocals by Ariella Uliano. Piano and guitars by Fernando De Paula. Post-production by Renzo Frontoni. Album cover photograph and graphic design by Renzo Frontoni. Lyrics in English: 'Wedding clothes hanging by the window/ Avana shoes lying on the grey carpet/ Yellow roses and an empty basket/ A blue sky for this new day/Sparkling morning dew on the grass/ Two smiling girls wearing English style hats/ And then rice, fish or breakfast at the pub?/ Two jewels and a new love/ A dance to start all over again/ Babies' food, school and the usual daily routine/ Old dreams, a new reality/ Black and white and chic bow ties/ In a hurry you leave home/ You are distracted and forget/ Your keys, the rings and your past/ Driving fast along country lanes/ Woods running past my window and crickets singing/ The morning air is crystal clear/ One hundred friends and cups of champagne/ Two jewels and a new love/ A dance to start all over again/ Babies' food, school and the usual daily routine/ Old dreams, a new reality'.
