Album Notes
This CD is over 72 minutes of fired-up Qawwali, do not be fooled by the 4 track lisiting.

Featuring a talented group of Indian and Middle Eastern musicians (Kirtaniyas, Fanna Fi Allah), Arjun baba's first solo Qawwali recording shines with the fire of Qawwali music. Qawwali is best known through the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, who passed in 1997.

For 6 years Arjun Baba has traveled to Pakistan with his Qawwali group Fanna Fi Allah; listening, living, and learning with Qawwali masters of the Nusrat fateh Ali Khan lineage (Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Dildar Hussain, Rizwan/Muazzam, Rehmat Ali, Atar Farid) as well as many other legendary Qawwals (Sher Mehr Ali, Faiz Ali Faiz).

Arjun Baba: well known for his Bhajan/Kirtan; and groups "Arjun & Guardians" and "Fanna Fi Allah" releases his first solo Qawwali CD with wonderful results. Experience the passion and fire of Qawwali.

Liner Notes:

Recorded in the summer of 2010 in North San Juan, CA. This is an expression of our love for Qawwali music. I was inspired to make this recording from the suggestions and encouragement of many, including the musicians found here.

Vijay Krsna is a fine musician of Hindustani music and has had a love of Qawwali since childhood. Paskal Hudon is a performer of Qawwali and middle eastern music. Nitai Prem plays alongside Vijay in their group “The Kirtaniyas” and is a singer and multi instrumentalist of caliber.

Endless Gratitude goes to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Party, Sher Mehr Ali, Baba Farid, Pakpattan, Abrar and Dildar Hussain, the many great Qawwals and Sufis of Pakistan, Tahir Qawwal, Aminah Chisty, and all of Fannah Fi Allah Qawwali PArty. Haq Farid Ya Farid!
