ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After the album A Thousand Miles, released in 2012, Arran decided to focus on original songs.
Carbon Soul is a major release for the band, including 15 songs, with a high production value.

The 5 full-time members of the band (Marion Condomines, lead vocals, Valérie Le Goff, upright bass, Steve Duong, violin and bodhran, Marc Flandre, flutes and percussions, Mickael Vedrine, guitars) were joined by guests from the classical, jazz and rock scenes, to add different musical colours to the songs.

Highlights of the album include :
- Carbon Soul, the title track, a 6 minutes epic starting with a grooving ensemble and including many musical surprises.
- Insanity, a song about schizophrenia, the closest thing to rock the band has ever played.
- Ash and Dust, driven by a steady bodhran rythm, with lyrics inspired by a famous TV show.
- My Fairy Prince, in which Arran takes on Broadway and plays the waltz.

Whatever you mood you'll relate to Arran's music, especially on this over 60-minutes long album.
