ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From Hawaii, Ars Natura brings you its latest in nature field recordings. These tracks were recorded over a period of five days in early June of 2015 at and around Moloa'a Bay on Kauai's northeast shore. The inland tracks capture the distant background roar of the ocean with the pleasant drone of insects and frogs. Amongst the amusing cries of the island's ever-present roosters you can hear Red-crested Cardinals, Mynas and many other native and migratory birds. This location, by the Moloa'a stream, provides an interesting array of foreground sounds including Bull Frogs and other fresh water life - look out for falling coconuts splashing in the water! "Moloa'a Bay: Reef and Ocean" is a natural combination of two water elements in a single recording. Because of its unique location on the bay's south end you hear the surf breaking on the reef about 35 yards out while the tidal pool's soft waves lapping the shore provide a relaxing aural foreground. So sit back, close your eyes and take a break from your world. Enjoy the sounds of the Garden Isle...
