ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Artichoke Music celebrates 40 years as the hub of Portland's folk music community. We are a nonprofit music community. Our listening room is a real gem in the Pacific Northwest. Three nights a week we host some of the best acoustic musicians from the Portland community as well as touring talent. This is our first compilation CD featuring 20 of our favorite performers. All proceeds go to support our nonprofit music community.

"Here in Portland's hip Hawthorne neighborhood - Artichoke Music, the little folky stringed instrument store is turning 40. The ride has been glorious and the excitement continues....especially when night falls upon our acoustic listening room, Cafe Artichoke. And you know what happens when you invite a few talented friends to sing and play their original tunes... the results are quite magical! We call them "Artichoke Nights". Join us as we celebrate our fortieth year with this wonderful sampliing of our Artichokian friends who help make Artichoke the special, one of a kind music community it is."
