Linda Gibson-Langford

I would like to think I am reviewing Unfolding with an unbiased ear and mind. Trudy is my younger cousin who did see things differently as a child, and I am thankful for that. We have barely been in each other's company but the few odd times we have, I am always enfolded by her gentle understanding of what life throws at her. Listen carefully to the lyrics and you will get that insight, I am sure. The musicality of Unfolding is bewitching. I love to hear the play of the instruments behind Trudy's soulful voice. But you be the judge...perhaps I am biased. I think not. We have a great place in Sydney called The Basement - I can hear Trudy and her wonderful musicians settled into a few sessions... unfolding, gradually disclosing the treasures in this album. More please Trudy.

Truly Beautiful Music
I heard the song \"Real Thing\" while reading in my bath (a favorite pose!). At first the song simply teased pleasantly around the edges of my consciousness while I read, but gradually I became more aware of the magic of the music and the beauty of her sound as she gave voice to this poetry. I was entranced and transported as the melody lifted my spirits. As the song drew to a close, I found myself listening intently for the name of the song and the songwriter. I had to dash dripping from my bath, grabbing a towel along the way to dry my hands enough to type \"Trudy\" and \"Real Thing\" into the search window on my laptop. I am so glad that I did!
