Album Notes
I became interested in folk music at a very early age and always looked for meaning in songs. My career journey took me to Greenwich Village in the late fifties and early sixties where I listened endlessly to people like Pete Seeger, Reverend Gary Davis, and the giants of that generation. Each time I listened, even as a teen, I became enthralled with the expression of passion in those songs. Even the songs that originated thousands of miles away. When I made my first recording for Columbia with my partner Paul Potash, we sang many of those songs the way we felt them and interpreted them. That was the beginning of a long journey that took me to California with a stop in the Denver/Boulder area where I met and enjoyed the music and company of folks like the Smothers Brothers, a young David Crosby, and a score of yet to be famous artists. Much of my story can be found on the pages of my web site for those who are interested. Just add a ‘dot-com’ to my name and you can find it. My stories are currently being published but you can find them easily on my web site. I continue to write and perform and I host a monthly radio show on the Los Angeles Pacifica Radio station. I hope you enjoy my work. If you do, my CD, ‘From The Village To The Canyon’ is available here on CD Baby and other outlets. Thanks for listening. My wish is that you enjoy my music as much as I enjoy making it. Cheers!
