ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Nice upbeat song with a catchy tune and two amazing female vocalists who harmonize beautifully and can really hit those high notes. A nice long guitar riff near the end of the song with two lead guitars playing off each other lifts the spirits of those listening to this song.

The lyrics are thoughtful and provide current and relevant social commentary, but still leave the listener with hope.

Why do we listen
to those who would divide
Those who leave us empty
With our humanity denied

Most people now sense that something is fundamentally wrong with our system. The powerful seek to keep us divided and arguing among ourselves, rather than focusing on them. This tactic seems to be working as society fragments and people become more and more polarized, while the powerful lead us into more and more endless wars while lining their own pockets.

Why listen to those
with so little to tell
The very same ones who
Have so much to sell

The corporate news we hear is now little more than propaganda by pretty faces on the screen who simply parrot what the establishment wants us to hear. Truth, independent investigation, and corroboration are no longer part of the process. In turn, those who control these pretty faces have so much they wish to sell to us with all their commercials.

Those who sell their souls
for their daily bread
May not take the time
to think of what's ahead

There are so many people who literally sell their souls for the sake of money. In their conscience, they know what they are doing is wrong, yet they continue with that behavior, using "it's my job" as their excuse for betraying their own principles and humanity.

It is the goal of the writer of this song and lyrics, that this song will plant a seed in many people that will lead to their awakening and the beginnings of transformational change, all while also providing a song that can be enjoyed at parties or listened to in moments of solitude.
