Album Notes
"Jazz Carnatica represents the culmination of my musical experiences. Most of the compositions come from the Carnatic (South Indian Classical) songbook, and were composed centuries ago. I feel fortunate to have studied this ancient art form and to have the opportunity to apply it in a modern context--making something new of something old. The true beauty of Music is in its malleability. Jazz Carnatica is shaped by the musical experiences of each of the talented musicians on this record. Enjoy and thanks for listening." - Arun Ramamurthy
