Album Notes
Songwriter, bassist and banjo player, Ashleigh Caudill, grew up in Western Colorado and began playing at an early age. She received a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, said goodbye to her small hometown and relocated to Boston Massachusetts where she was quickly accepted into the New England acoustic music scene. While climbing the ranks of freelance bassists, she discovered her love of both clawhammer banjo and songwriting. Shortly after releasing her debut solo album, I'm not Fallin, Bluegrass Unlimited declared her "a voice to be reckoned with."

Caudill, now residing in Nashville Tennessee, is enjoying new found success in the songwriting community with her tune Row By Row being recorded on Balsam Range's IBMA album of the year, Papertown, and topping the Bluegrass Gospel Charts summer 2013. In addition to winning 2nd place at Merlefest's Chris Austin Songwriting Contest two years in a row, she continues to write and get cuts, while still keeping up with her freelance bass work, solo tours and fronting her own band!

Sweet yet powerful vocals, accompanied by the rolling mellow tones of her open back banjo and a fine cast of musicians, draw the listener into the tales she spins. The songs are fresh and have a post modern bluegrass feel and sound while hints of old time and traditional music elements feather throughout the lyrics and melodies. Ashleigh can be found traveling around in her van, Shevannegains, sharing her sounds with music enthusiasts everywhere.
