ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ashley Broder is a multi-instrumentalist (mandolin, violin, cello) and composer living in Ventura, California.

“Two Trees” is a long-anticipated solo album featuring all original compositions. The album boasts a wide array of influences, yet is distinctly cohesive.

The idea for a solo project arose when she began writing music that didn’t find a home in the repertoire of current performing bands. In 2013, she met bass player/producer Kevin McCormick (Crosby, Stills, & Nash, Jackson Browne, Melissa Etheridge, Brett Dennen, Keb’ Mo’). The two agreed to work together and Ashley soon found her project take form with Kevin’s expertise.

Broder comes from a classical violin background, is a connoisseur of various fiddle styles, and performs as a sidewoman for rock/pop bands and singer-songwriters. Her expansive background has armed her with an arsenal of tools and colors. Now, with solo release in hand, she’s begun to pave the road to her own expression.
