ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I have always loved the sound, rhythm, and feelings that a jazz piano trio can produce and convey. My favorite piano trio personally is the Ramsey Lewis Trio, though Dave Brubeck's and Oscar Peterson's playing also fascinates and encourages me. I've been lucky enough to meet Dave Rogers and Brian Wolverton who share my interests and accompany me on drums and bass. Dave is also a talented musical arranger. We worked together to come up with many of these arrangements.
Through the course of our playing we met Lawrence Hamilton, an internationally known baritone, who provides two unique vocal interpretations to compliment our group's arrangements of "Wade in the Water" and "My Funny Valentine." He shows his vocal creativity by singing to our arrangement, rather than having us accompany him.
I thank all three of these exceptional musicians for working with me to make this CD possible. Alan Storeygard

REVIEWS:
"Dr. Storeygard, You are most definitely an inspirational pianist. I thoroughly enjoyed your recent CD, "Third Time's a Charm." The "Star Spangled Banner" arrangement was magnificent, especially hearing the story behind it. You have been blessed with a wonderful gift! Sharing your expertise in music brings delight to all who hear you play."
Sincerely,         Carleen Shinn          Beebe, Arkansas
