ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The early morning hours have inspired many composers, and this newest release from Atlanta Sacred Chorale gathers together a trove of choral treasures celebrating the joy of new beginnings and hope for brighter tomorrows. Guest cellist Guang Wang dazzles in David Brunner’s exquisite “Cloth of Glory,” amid other brilliant new works by Carey, Daley, and Tebay; moving anthems by Lauridsen and Rutter; fiery spirituals; and classics by Bernstein, Dawson, Stanford, and Wesley.

Recorded 2011 in the scintillating acoustics of Spivey Hall.
