ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
These powerful 30-minute recordings feature complete, Intermediate level Satyananda Yoga Nidra(R) practices.

Track 1 includes sankalpa, a standard body rotation, opposites of heavy/light and cool/warm, breath awareness in the frontal psychic passage, visualizations related to the chakras (including tattwa yantra imagery) and a concluding chant of 3 OMs and Om Shanti mantra.

Track 2 focuses on psychic nadi shodana (alternate nostril breath) and a detailed, intense practice of opposites for those seeking to develop mental equilibrium and release emotional tensions. It also includes sankalpa, a standard body rotation, and both pleasant and challenging nature visualizations.

These practices are ONLY RECOMMENDED for those with at least 6 months of weekly of Satyananda Yoga Nidra(R).

Recorded by Swami Atmarupa (Beverly Singh), a yoga acharya with over 20 years of yoga teaching experience, these techniques can provide deep relaxation, opportunities to harmonize the emotions and chakras, and deeper awareness of the subtle flow of prana.

This recording is the latest in a series of offerings from The Atma Center, a studio focusing on the therapeutic benefits of yoga. Director Beverly Singh (Swami Atmarupa) started the Center in 1997 after using yoga to reduce her medications and dramatically improve her health. Look for other Atma Center titles, including regular yoga nidras, meditations, breathing techniques and entire yoga classes.
