ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Atomic Lab is a rock adventure that goes from loud overdriven electric to quiet fingerstyle acoustic guitars, creating a landscape to tell stories about human experience like love, despair, joy, sadness, longing, contemplation. With many influences from classic to heavy hard rock, progressive to pop, the band has its own identity mixing those elements in the songs.

The first full album "Lights & Shadows" showcase some of these songs in a band setting as well as live unplugged with just one voice and one acoustic guitar. Performing live in both formats makes the music evolve in jams and free-form improvisation that shapes each show making it unique. It's all about connecting to other people through the power of music and having a great time together.

Fans have said that elements of rock and progressive styles are very evident. They often relate Atomic Lab to The Alan Parsons Project for the overall atmosphere and songwriting and singing styles. Many of them also mention The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, Grand Funk Railroad and Lynyrd Skynyrd for the guitar-oriented rock approach, but also Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young and Tom Petty on the acoustic side. Heavier progressive artists like Whitesnake, Savatage, Queensrÿche, Opeth and Kip Winger are heard in there as well.

Moe says:
"Atomic Lab is where I find the artistic freedom to let the music flow to broad directions, channeling my creativity and influences in pieces that reflect a lot of my personality and of everything I enjoy musically. It’s a great pleasure to write lyrics and songs and even more to be able to play them and take this music to other people. It’s a way to externalize emotions, feelings and desires. It’s a way to bring people together. It’s a way to get closer to the Divine."
---
