ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A to Z was formed through a longstanding, UK/Italian creative partnership between James Arben and Fabio Zambelli. This innovative, sax and guitar-led hammond quartet play an eclectic mixture original music, bringing together bop, fusion and contemporary influences ranging from Weather Report, Chick Corea, EST to Joshua Redman and Steve Reich.

Our first album was released on 33 records in 2005 and was called "Look Right".

This album "Uncertain Times" is their second release and has moments of joy, anger, beauty, sadness, sexuality and grief. It features Khadijatou Doyneh on spoken word on the track "My Muse."

The band comprises of:

James Arben - Saxophones, Bass Clarinet, Effects and Moog
Fabio Zambelli - Guitar
Laurie Lowe - Drums
Pete Billington - Hammond, Synth, Rhodes and Bass

A to Z played at the London Jazz Festival, Italy, Switzerland and Sardinia.
