ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The CD project “Solitary Bliss” is a collection of tunes that we as musicians learn when we’re in the process of discovering our jazz chops. This is my first of hopefully many solo piano project that I will release to the public. I do a solo gig weekly here in my home town of Memphis Tennessee at Paulette’s Restaurant, and on occasion, at Folks Folly Restaurant, so I get a lot of practice as a solo artist, in fact; there are times, depending on my mood, that I prefer solo gigs over gigs with a full band. Both types of gigs can be rewarding for me.
Hopefully these recordings will help a young musician understand, or give them some ideas about how to play solo piano.
I want to thank my parents for making me practice, and not letting me quit my piano lessons. If I had my way back in my youth, my life would have been empty and unfulfilled, and this gift that God has given me would have never be realized. Thank you Mom and Dad, and thank you public for your support. Enjoy the music.
