ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"The Awakening" is the first full-length release from Auditory Armory as a full band. Auditory Armory started as a project between lead vocalist/guitarist/songwriter April Montallana and drummer Oscar Garcia in 2010. In 2012, guitarist Dennis Burns and bassist Justice Maynard joined the band, giving the band a fuller and more dynamic sound.

Auditory Armory is not your average female-fronted band. The influences of the band range from alternative to metal to progressive to jazz and beyond. The lyrical scope of the music skims past the superficial love song or pop hit. The material of Auditory Armory tends to encompass the things in life people don't normally write about. Songwriter April Montallana says, "I prefer to be honest with my lyrics. I don't care about what is popular or mainstream. I just hope that our music will move and touch some people. Music saved my life...I want to do that for others."
