Album Notes

Maura Murphy (Lead Vocals/Songwriter) Maura Murphy graduated from The Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA in 2002 with a Degree in Voice and Music Business. Aura was created in 2001 as the sum of old songs from her former bands The Underaged and The Majai and her new songs that have shaped the bands’ sound. A review from All Access Magazine’s Devin Strecker describes Aura’s voice as… “amazing, soulful, confident vocals soar over the music, alternating between a strong powerhouse and a soft, romantic lullabye”. Bob Leggett from Music Connection Magazine described AURA: “This group has chemistry, great chops, memorable lyrics and a look that should take them far – all in all, the total package for success.”

Nick Johnson (Lead Guitarist) Nick Johnson joined Aura on stage and in the recording studio playing lead guitar in 2004. Nick graduated from The Berklee College of Music in 2002. He writes music for Film, Radio, Commercials and T.V.

Sean Stamps (Bass) Hailing from Northern Virginia, Sean has been performing music his entire life. Sean has won several Bass Performance awards including a scholarship to Berklee College of Music where he graduated with a degree in Film Scoring in 2003. Wonderful, clean sound, great lyrics and driving rhythm.
Loved the CD. Just look forward to more songs on the next CD. Awsome use of effects, backing vocals and strins. Lead singer has an absolutely gorgeous voice and works the lyric perfectly.
