Album Notes
Music On Canvas is an album consisting of visual landscapes. This is open music that lets you see and feel things as if you are watching a movie taken to another place in the moment. It is focused primarily on Piano with some accompaniment on Guitar and other textures/soundscapes.

These are all personal songs that have either been brewing for some time or I caught in the moment and fine tuned. I hope these pieces resonate with you and that they fill you up with joy and imagination.

God Bless,

-Austin Haynes

Beautiful, soothing and reflective.
If you are a fan of ethereal music that evokes visuals and memories, look no further than "Music on Canvas". This mostly piano-based collection is a provocative collection of moods, emotion and locales. It takes you to another place (or places) and lets you linger in the everyday musicality we are surrounded by, but don't realize. Try listening while watching a sunset, strolling in the hills, resting on the porch, or enjoying the ocean. If you have heard Haynes' first CD, "Evening Light" the music is more introspective, and this features less instrumentation it's reminiscent of artists such as George Winston, David Arkenstone, Chick Corea, Liz Story, Kevin Kern, or Michael Hedges (if he played piano). Many of these songs could easily be used in films or TV shows, but not limited to that venue - It's just that the music is so visual you can't help but be transported elsewhere. Excellent CD!
