Album Notes
At the Australian Boys Choir’s 75th Anniversary Gala Concert on August 17th, 2014, at the Melbourne Recital Centre, the works of each of the five finalists of the Choral Composition Competition were performed and the winner was announced. Those attending the concert were also invited to cast a vote for the audience prize. The first prize went to Danny Gray for his work Under the Night Sky, and the Audience Prize was won by Rich Campbell for Celebrate a New Day. Coincidentally, the two winners, both from New York, flew to Melbourne for the concert, and took part in a Q&A session accompanying the concert. Each composer spoke about their work as a musician and composer and took questions from the audience.
