Album Notes
AwaHoshi's Circle Dance fills the void providing vibrational healing music that we can dance, sing and pulsate deep into, our ancient connection with Mother Earth-Naturally High. It was created following the appearance of a double rainbow after a weekend seminar in Italy circa1996, This seminar catalyzed the creation of the Rainbow Tribe Messengers and an event that had never occurred before In Rimini, Italy, the center of discotechmania. In this seminar AwaHoshi spoke about what it meant to become ‘naturally high’ by entering a bio-chemistry of adrenaline and seratonin from dancing, singing, and connecting without drugs or alcohol. This incentive motivated a group of designers, dj’s and dancers to create an alternative. The music of Circle Dance and the message of AwaHoshi initiated the first and perhaps last event above the discotech trade show, of a natural high space that hosted 6000 people over three nights and generated five different spaces in the middle of discotech’s that were alcohol and smoke free….pre ‘the no smoking in public areas’ time. The music that was generated was indigenous toning, channeled group singing with didjeridoo, talking sticks, drums, crystal sound (subliminal and real) and AwaHoshi’s voice taking the lead for call and respond. Later four tracks of this acoustic music were remixed by Media Luna/Pete Cudmore of London into a techno-dance beat. The last cut of Circle Dance narrates the true story of Sacred Smoking. Indigenous "now " tones is designed to release chained dogs and caged birds in the world or inside of us. Circle Dance catalyzes medicine music, beyond trance and into awareness. Great for all entranced dancers, aerobics, physical fitness exercisers, Vinassa flower’s, and active meditators. The music was created out of compassion in response to many amazing dancers, musicians and artists who died in car accidents or were paralyzed following one of these intoxicated evenings. The Natural High spaces became the first real chill-out spaces in the middle of discotech’s. They included Mayan card readings, astrology, reiki, massage, alternative non-alcoholic drinks, alternative music both live and dj’ed. AwaHoshi opened these spaces acoustically with the audience sing’chanting in Italian/English while playing black round volcanic stones that sent out sparks of light as everyone provided the rhythm, found sticks for the reforestation of the planet, or shaking small match boxes that had been emptied and and filled with seeds that was later planted. Circle Dance holds this energy and continues to fill a void, of a co-creative message making decades beyond just watching and listening. Dancing the rhythm and singing the tones that awaken the belief in community that brings hope to others. Circle Dance is a fulfillment of the Hopi prophecy, “The coming of the Rainbow People” the ones who bring Peace back on the Planet and Hope to others.
