Album Notes
Axiom 10 is a project by songwriter Roger Kaye, who is based in Dorset, England. Recorded over a number of months by long time friend Ron "Des" O'Conner at his studio in Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire, Roger revived a number of old songs and re-arranged them, with his beautiful wife Gill providing harmony (and some lead) vocals, flute and percussion and various friends adding their support.

Roger has been absent from the musical scene for many years, but earlier was very active in bands around the country. Most notable of these was a band based in the North of England who spawned one memeber who later went on to fame and fortune with the incredibly succesful Ultravox. Gill has previously sung with such performers as Woody Woodmansy, David Pomerantz and Nicky Hopkins.
Roger describes Songs from a Rim Planet as "Intergalactic folk-pop" and says the CD has a loose theme of space travel, past lives and the irony of human existence. "This is a selection of songs I wrote between 1978 and 1998" says Roger, "they're all out of my system now and have opened the door to new creative period for me. The intention is to chill out the listener, perhaps provide some enlightenment while also being amusing and entertaining."

This album will transport you to another space and time
Think of some good early 20th century science fiction -
E.E. Doc Smith's Lensmans novels or Leigh Brackett's Mars
stories. Throw in some positive philosophy a la Jonathan
Livingston Seagull. Then image America playing Incredible
String Band songs and you begin to approximate Axiom 10's
Songs from a Rim Planet. Sample the sounds of Roger and Gill's
sweet voices and this album will transport you to another
space and time.
