Album Notes
Bae spent 2 years working on her first official EP from beginning to release, working with many talents whom she has always admires. This is the first EP she has released as an independent artist, which will only be the beginning of many more to come.

Bae(Hao-Yue Kuang) is a Pop/Jazz singer/songwriter and a composer for film/TV from China mainland.

Currently living in Los Angeles, it has been 4 years since she started pursuing her music career in US. Since the age of 4, she’s been taking classical piano lesson. Her interest in singing started around the same time. As the years gone by, her appearance has gone from local music festival to national competition. In 2009, as one of the founding members and main actress, she has lead her college student musical production “Rent” into the Chinese National college student music competition, winning 2nd place in the drama category.

It was by then that she realized where her passion truly lies. As an English literature graduate from a top rated college, she decided to take a left turn and come to Los Angeles in pursuit of her music dream. Musicians Institute (Hollywood, LA)was her first stop.

In MI, she studied vocal performance and independent artist program. During the 2 year of study, she has devoted all of her energy into finding her own voice and developing her songwriting skill. By the time she graduated, she's already self-produced her first EP "The Outsider".

From then on, she spent 2 years working in various projects and temp jobs. In the ASCAP expo 2012, she encountered Matt Hirt, a highly established film/TV composer, who offered her a co-writing gig for his mandarin pop song project, which became the beginning of many more composing jobs, including different mood tracks for production libraries, scoring for 2 student films. She received her first TV placement in CBS show "The Mentalist".

In 2014, Bae will be seen performing in many different Jazz venues in LA area.
