Album Notes

Ban grew up on the south side of Chicago in the Englewood neighborhood and like most of the youth felt the lure of the streets and the life that went with that but even though the streets were calling Ban knew that it wasn't what life was about so in between playing sports and chasing girls Ban developed the ability to put words on paper and fuel a passion that still drives and motivates him today first hearing the Sugar Hill Gang in 1979 Ban begin writing poetry in the 80's and in 1987 recorded his first song in the studio entitled "Around the way" and received great reviews from the guys in the neighborhood along with his life long friends Steel and J-Strong they formed 3 the hard way later known as the Kruel Connection and later Armed and Dangerous things continued to change and evolve yet Ban's passion for hip hop has never swayed and in 2005 Ban and Steel formed We Rise and since then they have built the company that still stands today Ban's legacy is still yet to be determined but one thing is for sure his passion for music is still the same since the day that he first picked up a pen and pad who knows what the future has in store for the swift spitter but I can tell you this no one will ever out worked him or bring as much passion that he has for music
