ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Stone Circles by Bandit’s Roost conjures a magical blend of new-era folk songs and instrumentals, forged by four master musician-storytellers.

Beneath the music’s surface is a goldmine of Earth wisdom, inspirational experiences and historical tales that stir the mind and feed the soul. Stone Circles is simultaneously ancient and modern; there is something here that resonates with cultures gone by, combined with a powerful message for today's world.

The album is enriched with mesmerizing fiddle by David Blackmon. RG Absher showcases his mastery of the banjo, guitar and hammered dulcimer; presenting several compositions by his own hand; Chasing Bigfoot, The Burren & Draper Valley.

Julian Charles features four of his majestic songs, that ride upon the signature modal tunings of his guitar; Beaches, On the Mountain, Crazy Horse & Paddle Faster.

The captivating vocals of Caroline Noel Beverley star in her unique songwriting; O Coyote, Ocean Washed-Up Souvenirs, My Father’s Song & 100 Starling Sky.

Some have described Bandit’s Roost extraordinary songwriting as Americana, Newgrass or Celtic, though its roots to folk music can be witnessed throughout this remarkable album. The bodhran, and other traditional folk instruments further enhance the music, and fuse together a fresh color of sound.
