ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After a decade of touring, recording, and kicking the world where it counts the infamous queens of punk, Lunachicks, have gone on hiatus. Leaving guitarist and founding member Gina Volpe free to pursue a long awaited dream to do something entirely different.

BANTAM is NYC's hottest power trio. Formed by Gina who decided it was time to finally step to the mic and explore new sonic territory. With Pete of FireGods fame on drums and Doug-O on bass the three have taken NY, and soon the world, by storm.

The bands' eccentric sound offers a variety of mood swings that persuade the ear with lush melody, heavy grooves, and angst ridden choruses with ugly pop hooks. Though just when you least expect it, they'll throw in a punk song to get you pogo-ing.

BANTAM's much anticipated debut album is a true testimonial to the new life breathing into today's music scene which demands to be heard! 11 great songs that stretch your audible imagination and leave you with the uncontrollable urge to play the record all over again. The more you listen the more there is to be heard.

The band has also been busy finishing up their video for the crowd pleasing anthem "Waiting For Rescue" which will be ready for circulation alongside the album.

BANTAM will hit the road this summer to support their new CD. So keep your eyes and ears open for 'em!
