Album Notes
Artist description
Barba Moscas :: collective :: It is well documented and universally believed that certain words have "meanings" and, if strung together in a predetermined order can be used to construct "phrases", "sentences" or in a musical context "lyrics". These in turn may be used to describe an object, event or feeling.

This theory, though interesting, is not without it's flaws. We at Barbamoscas believe that the true value and above all usefulness of words, either as individual entities or when formed into phrases, has not, as yet, been fully utilised.

Therefore we have endeavoured, using music (a popular and easily understood vehicle) to demonstrate an alternate form of communication. We feel the variance of verbs and adjectives combined with the interaction of vocal nuances and differing levels of musical colouration has, quite effectively, altered the significance of the afore-mentioned "lyrics" and consequently provided us with a new and quite frankly refreshing overall "meaning".

Musical influences
ACDC, Rush, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, J.Cocker, Richie Sambora, Scott Henderson, Buddy Rich, John Bonham, Phil Rudd, Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley

raw and powerful
The eclectic sound is unique, raw and perfectly harmonised. The lead singer's voice has hidden depth, as though holding something back, hiding his soul but releasing enough to pull you in. The musicians are perfectly insync with each other both mentally and musically. The lyrics are completely outlandish, these guys have a unique imagination which makes the whole album an absolute treasure. I wish them greatness - they have obviously worked hard to earn some recognition and they definitely deserve it.

Why aren't these guys signed???
There is a lot of emotion in this album, mostly anger and the feeling of betrayal but the erratic use of nouns and adverbs masks some of this to create a chaotic yet perfectly structured masterpiece that is worthy of mass domination. "How it Feels" is a favourite. A classic live rock performance that echos a blend of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin with a totally unique backlash of comical lyrics and psychedelic guitar sound. Its all good. New tracks, though mind-bogglingly titled, are rocktastic! Can't wait for the next album.
