ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Barbara Dunn is a musician, music therapist, presenter, and psychotherapist, based in Seattle and on Whidbey Island, WA for more than 25 years. "The Sparrow Takes Flight" was her first album (recorded in 1998) and is filled with songs near and dear to her heart - mostly original compositions, with some traditional Irish tunes. These songs were inspired by her family and friends: "Our Love Is Like An Onion" inspired by her husband, "Dream, Child, Dream" and "Sing A Lullaby" written for her daughters Emily and Ahna, "The Sparrow Takes Flight" from her mother's encouraging words, "It Only Takes A Moment" about the craziness of childrearing and life's simple moments, and many more.
