Album Notes
BarC is: Guy Juran – Drums
Archie Anderson – Bass and Vocals
Paul James Nauman – Vocals and Guitars

Formed in February of 2007, Paul, Archie and Guy had decided to write their own music again after a couple of years playing the local clubs in cover bands. “We wanted to create something that was ours” Paul states, “something that lasted longer than a night in the club playing other peoples music.”

The trio started writing. The emphasis was on melody with a harder edge with big sound and because they were just three of them, there was some freedom to “stretch out”. BarC is heavily influenced by the music they grew up on: Basically all of the hard rock and metal, jazz, punk and funk that has been released since the 70’s to now! “We love Led Zeppelin and we wanted big drums so we recorded them in my living room which has really high ceilings. That is where the title for the album came from” says Paul. “Then we took it a step further and looked at what constitutes other peoples living rooms”.

Songs like “Counter”, “Red Sand”, “Raining California”, and “Sensitive Skin” in particular are our observations of things going on around us as we are all influenced by what we see and hear about in our lives and in the media. Others like “Cross the Sky” and “Girl” deal with one of our more favorite subjects.....I think you can guess. We set out to create a musically and stylistically diverse album.

The result is what you see here and we hope you like it. More to come from BarC.
