Album Notes
This is the second CD released by Barefoot Jones and features Maggie Clements with lead vocals on Everybody Knows that and Riverstone which were penned by former bandmate David Bedsole. Lead guitarist Brian Helt sings three songs that he wrote - Everything About You is a Song (written for his wife Valerie), All He Did is Waste It and the title track The Way You Make Me Feel. On "Mama" Brian and Maggie sign a saucy duet to the lyrics that were written by David Bedsole's grandfater Randall that David later set to music. The band gives a new groove to the traditional blues tune Matchbox with bassist Dave Shogren on vocals and special guest Ernie Johnson on harp. Jeff Thompson's drumming keeps the band tight and the feel loose and easy. Greg MacNair's lyrical fiddle stylings help define the band's sound and provide continuity between the tracks. Listen for Greg on the "bonus" track Simple Twist of Fate. This CD was recorded with the help of our friends at Webster University in the summer of 2006.
