ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Artist: Bart Brady Ciampa is a trumpet/flugelhorn/cornet player who lives and records in Vancouver, Washington, a suburb of Portland, Oregon. He was raised and educated in the Boston area where he studied trumpet with Jerry Mitchell for ten years. "CAUTION!! May Cause Drowsiness!" is his seventh CD. His music can be heard on his websites at: www.bartsmusic.com and www.bartbc.com and also purchased at www.amazon.com and www.cdbaby.com

The Music: This is another of his eclectic CD's with selections that range from compositions by Michael Franks, Elton John, Cyndi Lauper, and The Cranberries, to the classic Concerto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo. As with past productions, this CD represents a truly broad spectrum! And again, the unifying theme is found in the mellow, melodic arrangements which provide the palette for the rich, somber flugelhorn/trumpet/cornet tone colors.

The Band: Since all background music on this CD was produced by Bart digitally, a better title for this category would have been "Equipment." So, the members of my "band" are named, Behringer, Edirol, Roland, Philips, Sony, etc. Software used was Power Tracks Pro Audio and Cool Edit Pro. The live trumpet, flugelhorn, and cornet tracks were performed on Taylor, Besson, and Courtois instruments. All tracks were performed, arranged/adapted, and synchronized by Bart in his Ridgefield studio. Final mastering was done by SC Digital Services in Spartanburg, SC.

Superior Easy Listening
I've recently bought the four Bart Brady Ciampa currently available. All are immaculately produced with a polish not usually found on home studio projects and in the main feature Bart's supersmooth flugelhorn. There is nothing too demanding here, nothing to startle the horses, just good, straightforward, relaxing, melodic music. If you want something to help you unwind and chill out after a stressful day look no further -- Bart Brady Ciampa will do the trick!
By the way, was "Local Anaesthetic" ever released?
